THE GREAT OUTDOORS: FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER IN NASHVILLE

So we got a call for an editorial job and after some thought we decided, “Why not Music City, Pard’ner?  The weather is great, the people are great- it has the perfect location for what we are trying to do.  So we shot the stills project in Nashville.

We could not have asked for a better day.  The light was magical, the temperature was perfect, and the spirits of the crew were even better.  The crew was on task and getting it done with good times and great work.  We were working to get 12 pages and ended up getting 19.  Editors kind’a like that outcome.  You can see the final story here.

MOTIONOGRAPHY: A BRIDGE BETWEEN STILL PHOTOGRAPHY AND MOTION

After the shoot was delivered, I decided to work a little more with my motionography concept to create the header animation on this post.

Motionography is the process of taking a still image and manipulating a foreground and/or a background element to include a motion component.  The process uses graphic software to manipulate a static object into a moving object and/or compositing a motion video component within the image.  The final image is output as an animated GIF, HTML file, or in other video formats and create the illusion of a still with a motion component.
